Book Description:
It’s time to revolutionize the way you think about dieting!

Bestselling author Brenda Watson shares the remarkable secret that helped her take charge of her health and change her life forever. Now you can do the same!

The Fiber35 Diet will show you how to lose weight and improve your health by taking advantage of the extraordinary health benefits of fiber.

In recent decades, a change has taken place in America. In contrast to the fiber-rich fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains once prevalent in our diet, we now consume an overwhelming number and amount of processed foods filled with refined sugars and harmful trans fats. As a result, we have almost completely stripped our diet of what is quite possibly the most beneficial nutrient on the planet.

In addition to helping prevent many of the major diseases of our time — including diabetes, heart disease, and cancer — fiber helps to increase satiety, reduce hunger, and actually decrease caloric intake.

The Fiber35 Diet will show you how getting 35 grams of fiber every day is the key to losing weight and staying healthy for life. Unlike many of the low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets that currently saturate the market, the Fiber35 Diet is based on scientifically verified techniques clinically proven to help you lose weight. Most important, this diet corrects one of the most dangerous falsehoods of our time: that carbohydrates are bad. The Fiber 35 Diet teaches you a lifetime eating system that helps you shed pounds safely and effectively.

This book includes:

  • Straightforward, easy-to-understand concepts that have been researched in detail and clinically proven.
  • A personalized weight loss formula based on how many pounds you want to lose.
  • Recommendations about dietary supplements and nutritious food choices.
  • Healthful and fiber-rich recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
  • A comprehensive strength and cardio training program designed to help you maintain your ideal body weight.

Twenty years ago, author Brenda Watson was overweight, chronically tired, and battling constant health problems. Today she inspires hundreds of thousands of people just like you with her story of personal transformation. By starting the Fiber35 Diet, you are taking the first step on your own journey.

Pretty Good Info by James R. Daneke
I enjoyed the information. I am already doing weight training, cardio, and 6 meals a day as Tom Venuto recommends at www.burnthefat.com . I bought some fiber choice fiber wafers at Sam’s Club for cheap and I eat a few Kashi Bars each day. I am up to 40 grams a day of fiber and it does help keep everything regular.

I watched her video on PBS.

Fiber does help you lose weight by SexySmartGal
Thin people know fiber does help you lose weight. Diabetics know that they need fiber along with fruits. No more juice, eat the fruit with the fiber in it or blend it in a blender. Fiber slows down the glycemic load, or to say another way… it slows down the sugar in your body and doesn’t spike it. That’s hard on everyone especially diabetics. Fiber is a bit of a carb blocker, but it is natural and doesn’t have the other bad effects that carb blockers may prove to have in the future. This book also explains how eating often every 2-3 hours tiny meals with fiber will help rev. up the metabolism. Who can’t use that! Get more fiber. It is easy. So many products on the market. And get rid of the overprocessed carbs. the bad ones. The white breads, white rices etc. This book will help you understand how fiber helps everyone.

Like it / Good read only by Laura Rolfe
This is a good read about fiber and how wonderful it is for your body but as for a diet I think that it is lacking much information and may build up hopes and dreams more than weight loss. As wonderful as this diet sounds some conditions are aggrevated or symptoms increase due to to much fiber and there really is such a thing as too much fiber. Consult a doctor first.

Could Have Been Five Stars….But by Dr. Glenn B. Gero
All of Brenda Watson’s books are pretty good, including this one. As was stated by many of the other reviewers, “there’s really nothing new about adding fiber to the diet.” While this is true, this book creates a specific paradigm for implementing a structured program and integrating it into one’s daily schedule in a relatively simple way.

Brenda has created a compelling story of why fiber is essential and adds enough science to justify her contention without overwhelming the average reader.

My only complaint is while touting a 35-gram fiber diet, her recipes were relatively low fiber. There are an abundant of high fiber meals and recipes that she could have included and didn’t. As an example, her recipe for chicken in a lettuce bowl is 212 calories with one gram of fiber. What is that recipe doing in a book encouraging us to include more fiber in our diet? As a matter of fact most of the recipes had less than three grams of fiber per serving. What was she thinking?

There are so many ways to add sufficient fiber into the diet without living on supplements. It’s clear to me, however, that her mission was to promote her Fiber 35 Diet supplement line instead of teaching people how to select high fiber meal choices.
