Book Description: Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as, “Soda is liquid Satan” and “You are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin,” it’s a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations. Behind all the attitude, however, there’s solid guidance. Skinny Bitch espouses a healthful lifestyle that promotes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and encourages women to get excited about feeling “clean and pure and energized.”

Skinny Bitch NOT JUST FOR WOMEN! by M. C. LeVINE Skinny Bitch is the BEST BOOK I HAVE READ THIS YEAR! It is NOT a book about weight, waists and being thin. Its a FABULOUS READ about the food we “put into our bodies” and literally “WHERE ON EARTH” the food comes from. Freedman and Barnouin did an “EXTRORDINARY JOB WITH THEIR RESEARCH” and covered “all of the avenues” we need to know about how to eat better, feel better and live better. Their knowledge of the “fraud” in this country regarding the USDA and the FDA, along with the federal gov’t and the “good Ole’ boy” way of doing things is right on the money. We the consumer suffer at the hands of these deceitful old bastards,we put in charge of “our lives.” The most disturbing entries in this enlightening book was how the animals who produce food for consumption are brutalized and tortured. Hard to read at 1st,it was very real and honest.Sad and shameful doesn’t even cover what people are doing to animals. The language was refreshing and real! Thanks! Definitely not just a book for women, everyone should read this. I sent it to my son,he loved it!
Skinny Bitch by Tracy L. Hilts This book is written so we, regular women can understand and follow. They act as though you, the reader, are their friend or buddy andjust tells you like it is. They make you really want to get up and move …and realy makes you think about where all of the meat we are consuming comes from. I looked up some web sites they suggested in the back of the book and was disgusted at the way these animals are being treated. Let me tell you, I am now a vegetarian, and am trying to go organic as much as possible. My next book to read and Im looking forward to it is “Skinny Bitch in the kitchen.”
Great plea for eating vegan by Ekirlu Initially I loved the way the authors wrote using a pretty direct language but after a while I thought it was getting a bit too much. Reading about the the meat industry and how animals are beeing treated gave me a lot to think about. In some cases I think they are a little bit too extreem but overall a good book for all of those who are interested in nutrition and dieting.
A Pleasant Surprise by Katharine Sullivan I purchased this book mainly because it intrigued me. Why would these two women call their book “Skinny Bitch”? Why would they fill it with four-letter words and insulting remarks? Well, as I would soon find out, this form of writing was a refreshing change from all the other diet/exercise/health books I’ve read. It was straight to the point, funny, and it truly felt as if one of my more forward girlfriends was telling me the truth about food without sugarcoating it.
I don’t think people realize this when they pick up the book, but it advocates a vegan lifestyle. This was slightly alarming to me, but after taking the time to read the authors’ arguments about why they have chosen to become vegan, I was (almost) convinced to do the same. I say “almost” because, as much as the authors’ sources seem reputable and their information seems generally viable, I do realize that neither is a doctor or nutritionist of any sort. This concerns me a little bit. But regardless, I was impressed by some of the information I picked up from the book and have been incorporating it into my daily eating habits.
Overall, I’d say this is a worthwhile read for a woman who’s read her share of boring, repetitive diet books and is looking for something new. If nothing else, it’s fun and it makes
